Sidney Schwartz's "Amway: The untold story" has been closed down. Fortunately, I had a copy. I suggest you also take a copy and mirror it, just in case I am also forced to close this site down.I am doing this in appreciation of the help I received by reading Sidney's site. It helped me decide not to join Amway. They are now so big and powerful that they can silence (or try to) anyone who does not agree with them.A friend in Japan has now also a mirror site, with some information missing from this mirror. Please check his site "Little Chandle Light in Japan" Here is one more mirror site, this one in USA, have a look at "The Amway $ite without a name" |

An account of a close
encounter, how I nearly got involved with
Amway. Why, you might ask do I bother, especially if I did not lose any money or was taken for a ride? Well, it is quite simple really. I think that anyone with a sense of responsibility, and who cares for other people, should warn others that they will be exposed to a highly sophisticated network marketing scam which might play with their sense of reasoning. They try not to tell you any direct LIES, but will fail to tell you that your chance of ever getting rich or EVEN making money from Amway is so small that most intelligent people would not even consider becoming involved. Read the statistics. Less them 1% ever make it. Ask Amway to tell you how many people have made it to Diamond. Do not accept clever replies like "anyone who has a dream" or "anyone who has the will to succeed," because that is not a real answer. Ask them about all the court cases there have been, and ask why big companies like Procter & Gamble are still suing Amway. Most importantly, CHECK yourself. You have a duty to do so, to protect yourself and your sanity, your family and friends. Remember these people are business people, if they get you to sign up, they WILL make money from you. In business there is no such thing as a free lunch. Amway is a business, why should this rule not apply to them? I have even heard that people like working with Amway because they are good Christians, because they sometimes pray before one of their functions. With quotes like these from Birdie Yager-- "When I look at him, I see Jesus. I want you to listen to him--I know that you'll see Jesus too." By Mike Wallace on "60 Minutes"--praising her husband Dexter an an Amway rally,  I leave it to you to decide if this has anything to do with religion, or if Amway is simply exploiting religious beliefs for business purposes. Amway has been fined numerous times for unethical business practices--often the same ones. Beware. If you want to read my story You can also read some other interesting stories from people who has worked for Amway for many years. I have made some links to these sites. They are obviously anti-Amway, because the people who is trying to recruit you will tell their story. Here are a few links to some of the
sites I read before I made up my mind not to join Amway:
I did not include the pro-Amway sites, because if you read this page, you will already have received the Amway side of the story. If you really are looking for some
extra income, here is a link to: To show that it is not all doom and gloom, I made a few jokes, while doing my research yesterday (not recommended for 'Dreamers', as they might be offended). Also during my research I came across the expression Ambot, now that I know what it mean, I thought it could be fun to make a small award called the; AMBOT OSCAR. If only less then 1% makes in
using the 'Plan' in Amway, would it not be appropriate to
award them an AMBOT OSCAR ? Finally, a little section; Read the Wall Street Journal on the 22nd? Apparently South Koreans are not too happy with Amway: "Sales have plummeted, accusations
are flying, and even an Amway rep was Here are a couple quotes from some South Korean leaders: "Amway is not a moral
company. They have the wrong attitude in marketing
"Amway is disrupting communities
and church congregations, and it is a Last a family photo of an Ambot family Have a good day. |
